Spili is a charming mountain traditional village well known for its row of venetian lion head fountains in the main square. Spili is built amphitheatrically in the center of the prefecture of Rethimno on a western slope of Mount Kedros, which is a southwest extension of Psiloritis, at an altitude of 430 m, which supplies the village with running waters with its springs.
