Perched on the low hills overlooking the western edge of the Messara plain, Klima is a quiet traditional village with a strong rural character and a relaxed, authentic atmosphere. The village offers wide open views over the valley, and on clear days you can enjoy distant sea views on the horizon, especially from the higher points of the village at sunset. Klima has kept a few charming old stone houses and its simple Cretan identity. It also has two small local tavernas, which provide easy dining within the village and reinforce its peaceful, lived-in feel. It is conveniently close to Timbaki, just a short drive away for groceries, services, and everyday needs. However, it is inland and elevated, meaning the nearest beaches like Kokkinos Pyrgos or Kalamaki are about 10–15 minutes away by car. The village itself offers very limited amenities, and its narrow, sloping streets can make driving and parking a bit tricky.
